The Prattville Pops community band was formed in 2002 under the direction of Mr. Ronnie Mallory. The Pops debut performance was December 6, 2002, as part of the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in front of City Hall in Downtown Prattville.
Although the band started small, with only fifteen members, it has grown over the past 21 years to thirty-five active members, representing all wind and percussion instruments. The large military community in Prattville has given the Pops the opportunity to have many members for just a short period of time, allowing the Pops to boast over 100 alumni members!
The Prattville Pops is sponsored by the City of Prattville and the Prattville Creative and Performing Arts Council.
